Girls in Aviation Day with United Airlines

Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors are invited to join an all-female team of United Airlines employees for Girls in Aviation Day on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 9 a.m. – noon at Denver International Airport. United Airlines promotes diversity in the workplace; thus they have the highest percentage of women pilots. Talent Acquisition and Human Resources will be present to provide career pathing advice. This event will introduce Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors to eight different fields in aviation.

  2. Finance Office: Learn the cost of an aircraft and all of the pieces that an airline needs to function financially.
  3. Flight Operations: Learn how to chart a flight.
  4. Catering: Learn how to create a catering cart.
  5. Customer Service: Learn how to create a boarding pass.
  6. Airline Maintenance: Learn about parts demo and mechanic responsibilities.
  7. Inflight: Learn a safety demonstration.
