World renowned cellist and activist Yo-Yo Ma will be kicking off his international tour in Colorado with a performance at Red Rocks. On August 2, 2018, he will be visiting several Denver neighborhoods, culminating with a celebration in Mariposa from 3 – 6 p.m., where he will take part in a community conversation and artistic performances. This event will bring together non-profit service providers and community members who are already hard at work in their Colorado neighborhoods.
“This is Home: A Denver Day of Community Action,” hosted by local youth empowerment non-profit Youth on Record, the Colorado Governor’s Office, Denver Housing Authority, and The Music District, will feature live performances, free appetizers and drinks, and interactive art exhibits. This is the first time this exhibit has been done and we are the first stop on his international community tour.
Our goal is to bring together a diverse group of providers and participants to share, explore, learn, and grow. Follow this link https://www.eventbrite.com/e/this-is-home-yo-yo-ma-tickets-48394553412 to RSVP for yourself and any participants you plan on attending with you.
