We had a great day with CU’s Women’s Basketball celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day recently! CU Athletics hosted a pre-game celebration where girls met players from various CU Women’s teams and got to try their hand at some fun sports.
Girl Scouts enjoyed skills stations hosted by CU’s Women’s Athletic teams. Girls learned about Soccer, Lacrosse, Cheerleading, and more!
One of the big highlights was an autograph session with CU Women Athletes! Over 200 people lined up for to meet team members and get autographs. Many were our Girl Scouts who traveled across the Front Range to join the fun!
Our Girl Scouts and families enjoyed the game and cheered on the CU Buffs to a 76-66 victory over the Oregon Ducks!
A BIG than you goes to Cassandra McCulley and CU Athletics for hosting such a great opportunity for our Girl Scouts!
