Now that summer’s over, we hope you aren’t getting the no-camp blues! In case you are, don’t fear, the GSCO Outdoor Program team has events happening all year for all Girl Scouts! Check out our list of events and bookmark this page to keep these events on your calendar throughout the year.

Outdoor Adventure Club Explorers Rock Climbing

Location: Hamp Hut, Colorado Springs

Who’s it for: Girls in 6th grade who want to challenge themselves climbing outdoors

Cost: $70/girl, Free for Explorers Passport Holders

Our first Explorers overnight will be at Hamp Hut, a unique location within Garden of the Gods. The next day, we’ll spend all day rock climbing where you’ll learn climbing techniques and how to belay others!

Sky High Ranch Halloween Party

Date: 10/27/18

Location: Sky High Ranch, Woodland Park

Who’s it for: Halloween lovers of all ages, who want to enjoy sweet treats and games

Cost: $10/child, adults are free

From zombies and princesses to s’mores and wizards, we’ve got everything at the Sky High Ranch Halloween Party! Visit Yummy Candyland, Spooky Graveyard, and Witch’s World where you’ll play games, make crafts, and collect treats!

Trick-or-Treat at Tomahawk Ranch

Date: 10/28/18

Location: Tomahawk Ranch, Bailey

Who’s it for: Halloween enthusiasts of all ages who want to show off their costume

Cost: Free

Come to Tomahawk Ranch on October 28, 2018 for a spooktacular time! Trick or treat on foot throughout camp and stop to enjoy a warm cup of hot cocoa. The event is open to all ages and free of cost (donations of candy are accepted). Gates open at 5 p.m. and close at 8 p.m.. Costumes are a MUST! BOO you soon!

Outdoor Adventure Club Trailblazers Warrior Woman Workshop

Location: Geneva Glen Camp, Indian Hills

Who’s it for: Girls in 7th to 12th grade who want to channel their inner warrior

Cost: $80/girl, Free for Trailblazers Passport Holders

Channel your inner warrior woman! As warriors, we will learn survival skills (like evasion, camouflage and shelter building) and self-defense techniques. You’ll practice calming your inner warrior through mindfulness activities like yoga and nature-based meditation.

Sky High Ranch Tree Lighting and Brunch 

Date: 12/2/18

Location: Sky High Ranch, Woodland Park

Who’s it for: Anyone of any age with plenty of holiday cheer

Cost: $15/adult, $10/child, Ages 0-3 free

Celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season by joining us at Sky High Ranch for our annual Tree Lighting ceremony. This community/family event is fun for all ages! We’ll have a buffet, family photos, ornaments, a visit to the Holiday Barnyard, hot drinks and GOODIES!

Brunch and Barnyard with Santa

Date: 12/9/18

Location: Tomahawk Ranch, Bailey

Who’s it for: Believers in Santa and lovers of animals, ages 0 – 100

Cost: $15/person, Ages 0-4 free

A fun community event on December 9, 2018 at Tomahawk Ranch for all ages! Eat a delicious brunch buffet and visit and take photos with Santa. Listen to his tales of adventure while savoring sweets and lollies aplenty. Even warm up with hot cocoa & cider after a visit with the barnyard animals.

Outdoor Adventure Club Explorers Tomahawk Outdoor Skills and Hiking 

Dates: 1/12/19 – 1/13/19

Location: Tomahawk Ranch, Bailey

Who’s it for: Girls in 6th grade, who want to learn how to survive outdoors

Cost: $70/girl, Free for Explorers Passport Holders

During the winter retreat at Tomahawk Ranch, you’ll work on a series of outdoor skills and activities like outdoor cooking and primitive wilderness skills. You’ll go on a hiking adventure and learn to read trail maps, work as a team, and practice orienteering skills.

Expedition Antarctica: Me & My Guy 

Dates: 1/18/19 – 1/20/19

Location: Sky High Ranch, Woodland Park

Who’s it for: Girls in Brownies and higher and the significant adult male in her life

Cost: $135/person

Are you ready to test your mettle against the elements?! Join us for an introduction to winter camping at Sky High Ranch for you and your guy! This Friday-Sunday excursion will introduce cold-weather tent camping, basic survival skills, and tips and tricks of the trade. Weather depending, we will practice snow skills such as snowshoeing, shelter building, and ice fishing. If we don’t have enough snow, we’ll do more general survival skills and camp activities such as archery and farm.

Me & My Gal 

Dates: 1/18/19 – 1/20/19

Location: Tomahawk Ranch, Bailey

Who’s it for: Girl Scouts of any age and the significant adult female in her life

Cost: $110/person

An exciting two-night camping experience for individual girls and the significant female adult role models in their lives. Planned activities may include archery, crafts, hiking, stargazing, s’mores, barn visits, dance party, mattress surfing and more! Cost: $110pp, this includes all activities, a two night stay, five meals and snacks.

Outdoor Adventure Club Trailblazers Sky High Winter Retreat 

Dates: 1/26/19 – 1/27/19

Location: Sky High Ranch, Woodland Park

Who’s it for: Girls in 7th to 12th grade who are willing to brave the cold for fun games and new skills

Cost: $80/girl, Free for Trailblazers Passport Holders

Enjoy a variety of winter activities: building snow shelters, snowshoeing to the pond for ice fishing and human curling, low ropes, evening stargazing and glow in dark snow capture the flag! No snow? We’ll have alternative activities ready to go!

Tomahawk Ranch Open House 

Date: 2/24/19

Location: Tomahawk Ranch, Bailey

Who’s it for: Anyone who wants to visit Tomahawk Ranch and learn more about overnight camp

Cost: Free

Free to attend; take a staff led or self-guided tour of Tomahawk Ranch at our Open House. Get those burning questions answered and help little ones feel comfortable to attend camp this summer. Visit the different sleeping and program areas to get an idea of what the summer ahead looks like. Staff from Mountain Berry Culinary will also be available to answer any meal related questions. Open to all ages.

Sky High Ranch Open House 

Date: 3/9/19

Outdoor Adventure Club Trailblazers Snow Mountain Ranch 

Dates: 3/16/19 – 3/17/19

Location: Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby

Who’s it for: Girls in 7th to 12th grade who’ve always wanted to dogsled

Cost: $115/girl, Free for Trailblazers Passport Holders

Our entire group will go dogsledding and cross-country skiing on wintery trails. In the evening we will have a group pool party and roller skating night. Everyone loved this event last year so much, we are doing it again!

Outdoor Adventure Club Explorers Keystone Science School Snow Spectacular 

Dates: 3/30/19 – 3/31/19

Location: Keystone Science School, Keystone

Program Level: Cadette (6th grade)

Cost: $110/girl, Free for Explorers Passport Holders

We have partnered with Keystone Science School for a weekend of play in the snowy mountains! You’ll cross-country ski, snowshoe, use an astronomy telescope and compete in a winter Olympics challenge.

Tomahawk Ranch Troop Camp (Link to come!)

Dates: 4/26/19 – 4/28/19

Location: Tomahawk Ranch, Bailey

Who’s it for: Troops looking to strengthen their bond, program level requirements to come
