Skype Book Club with author Ammi-Joan Paquette

40963104_ammi-joan_paquette 40962780_princessjuniper_final

Looking for something fun to read over summer break? Check out author Ammi-Joan Paquette’s Girl Scout-only book club for her Princess Juniper series. The series is perfect for Girl Scout Juniors or anyone who loves stories about strong girls leading. All interested Girl Scouts are invited to check this out.

What Would You Ask An Author?—Join This Summer Book Club and See!

Hi there!

Have you ever wondered what life would be like in a kids-only country? Do you like adventure, fantasy, smart, and determined characters? Have you ever wanted to talk with an author about a story they wrote? Well, here’s your chance!

My name is Joan (Ammi-Joan Paquette, if we’re being formal!), and my most recent published books is the Princess Juniper series. This is the story of a spirited, headstrong princess who has just one birthday request: She would like a very small country to run, all for her own. Does it sound like she might end up getting more than she bargained for? You bet! There’s action and adventure and betrayal and friendship, all rolled up in this series starter which I hope you will enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed writing it!

In honor of the third—and final—book in the series publishing this summer, I’m running a special Girls Scouts-only book club. Here’s how it works:

• Your troop reads book #1, Princess Juniper of the Hourglass.
• We provide you with a special Book Club booklet that includes crafts, activities, discussion questions, recipes, and more.
• Then, you get an exclusive chance for a free Q&A with the author to get all your questions answered!

(Special bonus: For Girl Scouts who wish to purchase their own copies of Princess Juniper of the Hourglass, each girl will receive a signed and personalized book plate to stick inside the book.)

For anyone who likes stories about smart, strong girls, Princess Juniper could be the book for you. Girls who like to write and have questions about the author life are also welcome. I can’t wait to meet and hope I will see you soon on Skype.

For more info, follow this link http://www.girlscoutsofcolorado.org/en/events/anytime-activities.html This Skype Book Club is listed under “Seminars and Programs.”
