When Centennial Star and Thunder Ridge Service Units announced a Blanket Drive as a part of their “Commitment to Caring” program, Brownie/Junior Troop 74 was very excited to make some blankets to donate to the Children’s Hospital! In the spirit of Girl Scout sisterhood, we invited newly formed Junior Troop 330 to join us for their very first service project!

Each troop decided to make a different kind of blanket. Troop 330 chose tie blankets, and Troop 74 picked blankets that fold into pillows. We combined together to spend a fun meeting making friends and blankets while listening to holiday music, rather than having a traditional holiday party!

The blankets were then donated to Children’s Hospital – Highlands Ranch last week along with over 100 others as part of the Blanket Drive. We felt great helping others, working together with a brand-new troop, and building our sewing skills!
