On October 8, 2019, our Daisies learned about Wild Bird Rescue and Rehabilitation and earned the “Three Cheers for Animals!” badge! The nonprofit organization is located in Wheatridge, and visited us at our Aurora location. The girls spent time with the program educator and two sweet baby pigeons, who were very excited to be picked up and held by our enthusiastic troop.

For information on how your own troop can be part of this program, please check out the website at https://wildbirdrehab.com, or email Julie at emailjulie@mac.com. They do great work!

We had a few girls who were afraid of birds and this was a perfect safe way for them to learn about birds and caring for animals!
