The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Colorado Transportation YOU Committee presents Girl Scouts Street Smarts Day!

Join us for a “street smarts” day as we take you on a multi-modal tour through downtown Denver. Learn how transportation affects our urban environment and how it links communities by visiting various stations in downtown Denver that highlight transportation elements, including ADA, bikes, transit, and bridges.

Date: Saturday, September 21, 2019

Time: 8:45 a.m., Tour begins at 9 a.m.

Location: I-25 and Broadway Light Rail Station, 901 S. Broadway, Denver

Total number of participants (including parents/troop leaders): 65

Target age group: 4th, 5th, 6th grade Girl Scouts

Additional information: Lunch will be provided and Girl Scouts will earn patches. The entire tour is outdoors, please dress appropriately.

I was a Girl Scout when I was younger. I love the Girl Scouts of the USA organization, and love the empowerment and opportunities that are presented to young ladies. This event is a glimpse into transportation engineering. There is so much around you yet to explore. This STEM opportunity is one not to miss.
