Centennial troop delivers hero cookies to Denver Rescue Mission

Fifth-grade Girl Scout Juniors from Willow Creek Elementary School delivered on April 11 about 150 packages of Girl Scout Cookies to their Hometown Hero, the Denver Rescue Mission.

The girls toured the facility and learned about how people come to experience homelessness for a wide variety of reasons. Everyone’s story is different and the Denver Rescue Mission strives to meet each individual at their point of need.  The Denver Rescue Mission offers emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and outreach.  The girls learned the cookies they donated will go to families being served in their transitional housing program.
