Get Outdoors Leadville!, a grant-funded initiative that’s part of Great Outdoors Colorado’s Inspire Initiative, hosted an outdoor carnival event on June 11th, 2016. It was so much fun to watch many members of our community enjoy activities at carnival “booths” hosted by a wide range of local and regional agencies. We would like to thank Cricket Hawkins and Girl Scouts of Colorado who joined many other agencies to provide a “mini-adventure” building windowpane greenhouses.

The variety of activities allowed participants to try everything from dry land “rafting,” to panning for gold, to shooting an arrow at a target. The event provided many organizations an opportunity to showcase all of the awesome, fun ways our community can access the outdoors.
